Exposing children at a young age to meaningful literature can empower them to reflect and traverse beyond their socio-cultural contexts. Books can nudge children and adults to raise questions about their lives, experiences and society. Books can open doors for children to challenge historical biases that put varied groups at a disadvantage. Books can even push children to question eveyday mysteries such as why the sky is blue.
In the past few years, Wipro Foundation has supported and facilitated the publication of children’s literature that helps our young ones to inquire, engage and reflect. We are sharing here a few children’s magazines and books that we have supported over the years
Chakmak, Eklavya Trust
Launched in July 1985, Chakmak is a monthly magazine published by Eklavya. The magazine focuses on providing supplementary reading material to children studying in middle schools on the themes of science, literature and environment.

Adolescence is an important stage of life when children have countless questions. 'Beta Kare Sawal' is a book in Hindi for adolescent boys, published by Eklavya Trust, Bhopal.
